HIGH NOON TIDE,
Oil on triple-primed Canvas board, 8x10 inches
This must have been the hottest day I went out to paint. The sun was above me and everything seemed so blown out. I was luckily wearing my sunglasses so it helped with some colour correction. I loved my spot that rendered the view of a few headlands across the way, giving this piece the depth. The contrasting warm and cool tones between the far away mountains and the sand made for an interestingly beautiful picture.
